Moravian Partnership
Since 1999, the Moravian Church in America and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America have been in a full-communion partnership. We assert that Jesus' call is for the church to be united, and acknowledge that Moravians and Lutherans share common theological traditions and commitments to mission. Here's a link to read the official document recognizing our full communion status.
Over the years, this full communion partnership has led to many pulpit exchanges and some combined disaster relief efforts, but we have yet to see manifestations of this partnership "on the ground." We at Spirit of Peace are intentionally undertaking such an endeavor. Pastor Christie Melby-Gibbons officially came on board as a part-time worship leader here in May of 2015.
